S1E19 – 2013 Christmas Special Pt 1: Ho’Nai Worships James Woods

2GAGAAG_New_Red

This episode is part 1 of the 2013 2GAGAAG Christmas Special.  Why is it being released after Christmas?  Because we were all sick leading up to Christmas and couldn’t record it until Boxing Day.  Despite the illnesses going around, we did persevere, and recorded this little side trek, which I wrote specially for the occasion. This episode picks up right were we left off last time, with the party about to head into a room with sarcophagi lining the walls, but as they’ll soon find out, they won’t make it into that room right away.

In keeping with the season, we ask that you consider donating to Child’s Play, a worthy charity that provides games and toys to children’s hospitals.  Visit www.childsplaycharity.org to find out more about how you can help.

S1E18 – You Made A Tactical Mistake, Just Own It.

2GAGAAG_New_SlateGreen

When last we were with our heroes, they had just dispatched a nasty Blue Jelly, but Barnaby went down in the process, retreating to the Feywild.  This week, the party pauses, takes stock of what’s in the room, and moves on to the door that Splug had been forbidden to enter by Balgron.  What will they find on the other side of the door?  Hint: It’s more monsters.

S1E17 – Sorry About the Burps

2GAGAAG_New_Blue

First thing’s first!  Sorry about the burps.  Aaron was in rare, disgusting form for this part of the recording, so apologies for the considerable number of beer belches throughout this episode.  Not much to be done about them, unfortunately.  Now that that’s handled, last week ended on a cliffhanger, and we’re waiting to see if Barnaby makes the jump onto the small island in the dark, fetid water.  Sammy needs to roll a minimum of 5 on the d20 to make it.  Will Barnaby make it across, or plummet into the filthy water?  We’ll find out this week!

Child’s Play is an Awesome Charity, and You Should Support Them

Child's Play

Normally, during the introduction to the shows, I make a point to ask people to use the Amazon link, or if they would like, to give a little donation to keep the show running.  In the spirit of the holidays, though, I’d like to ask that you instead consider making a donation to, or through, Child’s Play.  I could try to explain what they do, but they have a nice press kit that does a much better job than I can, so we’ll just crib from them.

The Mission

Child’s Play is dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game community and the power of play.

How It Works

Child’s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, we set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on our map, you can view that hospital’s wish list and send a gift.
Child’s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those cash donations, we purchase new consoles, peripherals, games, and more for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow for children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and can provide vital distraction from an otherwise generally unpleasant experience.

There’s actually a third option for supporting Child’s Play, which is to buy games through the Humble Bundle, making sure that money is being directed to Child’s Play.  You get to support a worthy charity, and you get some shiny new video games out of the deal.

A lot of people have an image of gamers as being anti-social weirdos.  To be honest, some of us are.  In truth, though, there are a lot of very generous people who love to play, whether it’s video games, board games, or tabletop games like we play on 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Goblin.  So, since you’ve earned XP all year, I think it’s high time to level up, and win at charity.

P.S.  If you’re wanting to buy stuff for your family and friends, you should definitely still use the Amazon link for that.  We’d appreciate it, and so would our local liquor distributors will also appreciate it.

A Wallpaper for a Podcast that We Don’t Make – Harmontown

I really love Harmontown, and especially Spencer Crittenden’s D&D Dungeon Mastery towards the end of the show.  He really prompted me to up my own game as a DM. With that in mind, and since there wasn’t any D&D on this week’s Harmontown, I decided to make something related to it, for my own amusement.  So, here it is:

It’s kind of a first draft in the style of 60’s minimalist movie posters, still working on the idea, but I’m generally happy with the direction it’s going.

S1E16 – About That Thing With The Peanut Butter…

2GAGAAG_New_LightGreen

During last weeks shenanigans, the party encountered a nasty Kruthik infestation.  This week, we take on another new monster, but more importantly, we added a new cast member!  Eric Helmken is joining us, and you’ll learn more about his character in the episode.  To learn more about Eric, check out the About page.

S1E15 – A Bucket Full of Diamonds

2gagaag_green

Last week, the party encountered RoUS’s and then a nasty Ochre Jelly.  This week, we introduce another new enemy for our heroes to deal with.  Plus, we’re all kinda tired by this point, and the plot gets lost on multiple occasions.  So that’s fun.

S1E14 – Have I Told You That I Hate You?

2gagaag_blue

Last week, our heroes met the nasty hobgoblin torturer, Immizel got in a steel cage match with a goblin, and we met a new member of the party.  This week, Jaeger gets a chance to show what he can do, battling a heretofore unseen foe.

S1E13 – Lock, Stock, and Two Goblins Stacked On Top of Each Other

2gagaag_slategreen

Last week, our heroes fought the mighty Balgron, who turned out to be a bit of a chump, when it came right down to it.  This week, they’re about to punch their way through a door and into the “torture chamber”.  In search of loot, our heroes may instead find a new member of the party…

RSS Feed Problem Resolved

egat_logo_2 2gagaag_slategreen

Somewhere along the line, a WordPress update seems to have messed up the RSS feeds for the podcasts so that it did not show earlier episodes.  The problem’s been fixed!  Especially if you’re a new listener to “2 Guys, a Girl, and a Goblin“, this is a chance to listen to the earlier episodes.  It will take some time for iTunes to update, but the RSS feeds are working for your listening pleasure.
